Do you have a reason for that ? Maybe a bad experience with them ? Like to hear about it since I haven't encountered any trouble with them so far.Originally posted by Jerlene.netI would definitely choose HostGator. The only problem I have with them is that they require phone confirmation to unlock some features.I was never really fond of GoDaddy's hosting. Not a big fan. Wouldn't have a website under them, ever.

i can tell one good thing about them. If you have a forum which is too much for a shared account but can't afford a VPS Then Godaddy shared hosting is the best thing you can get. this is the only place I have seen 100% server uptime.

None of them!
I am 'afraid of' big companies, because they apply overselling everywhere to make their plans look more attractive.
I would rather prefer something stable than something big. Some time before I have chosen Ahosting.biz as my hosting provider and since then have never regret.

I would definitely go for HostGator! Much more options than Godaddy and that's what they do - just hosting.
Godaddy is good for beginners who need easy ways to make sites but other than that - it's not that good. HostGator is loaded with options ;-)

From my experience, and I host with both companies and I also buy all of my domains from godaddy.com:
Both of them are larger, stable hosting companies that should be around a long time and both of their help services are some of the best if not the best that I have come across.
For a newbie, godaddy is a good hosting company to start with, mostly because their phone tech support is 24/7 and is great and their hosting control panel is easy for a newbie to get a feel for. They also offer free hosting with forced ads (top banner) with all of their hosting features, for each domain that you buy with them, which let's you try out their hosting service for free.
If you plan on having more than one site, I would go with hostgator.com's baby plan ($7.95) which allows an unlimited number of domains to hosted and also unlimited bandwidth, unlimited mysql databases and many more features including cpanel. They also offer 24/7 online chat and phone support which are both very helpfull with hosting related issues.
The uptime for my websites hosted under both of them have been very close to 100%.Submit your Free Hosts to FreeWebsiteHostingReviews.com.
