Re: Your Favourite Forum Software ?

There is no doubt that paid VB is very good but the price is the only downfall, $100 license. I'm currently building a forum on SMF and it's going quite well

If you can afford the VB cost and you expect your forum to do reasonably well you should go for VB though Favorite = Paid VB

vBulletin rules no doubts but not everyone can afford it. So whats the best free forum script ? That way i think the best is SMF.

                        Hey,

How many of you have tried IceBB forum software? Well, it's free and works good, but the only problem is, there aren't any plugins or mods available for that forum software. The rest of it is fine ... and it's available for FREE. When you have free time, please check out that IceBB software.

vBulletin not only becuase its paid but becuase its the most secure. Also it has a very good user area and spammers can't really target the forums as much as others becuase it for one is more secure and for two easier to moderate and control it

Second choice would be myBB becuase its not as security prone as phpBB. However there aren't as many templates for it.

MyBB is better than SMF ? You have experience in both ? I haven't used Mybb so like to know what featured are better in MyBB than SMF.

I'll go with vBulletin because it's the only one that offers all types of features + it's a little cheaper than IPB.
